We are glad to announce the date for our Tamil New Year 
event - April 7, 2012 (Saturday). Please mark your calendars,
and make sure you sign up for participating in the exciting 
competitions and variety programs. This event will again be 
entirely for our talented Portland Tamilians, and we need 
your full participation and support to make the event a grand success!

Here are two competitions we are planning for this event:

1) Kids Group Dance Competition:
     - Folk and Cine music only
     - Age limit: 15 years and under
     - Min. group size: 4 participants
 
2) Adults Karaoke Singing Competition:
     - Tamil Cine songs
     - Age limit: 15 years and above
     - Solo or Duets only
     - There will be an audition for this event
 
Deadline for signing up for the competitions: Jan 31st, 2012
 
For the above two events, please let us know your song of choice 
so we  can avoid repetition. Whoever emails first for the song 
will get to go with it.
 
Bharatanatyam dance performances (min 3 participants), dramas, 
stand-up performances and mimicry acts are welcome as well 
(these are not competitive events) to register.

Participant names, short description of the performance, 
song (or other relevant details), contact information.
