President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)
President’s Service Award is an honor (at National level) to the volunteers who are using their time and talents to solve some of the toughest challenges facing our nation (USA) where we are residing now. It is an initiative of the Federal Agency CNCS (Corporation for National and Community Service). This Premier volunteer awards program encouraging volunteers to live a life of service through National Recognition.
Certified Organization (CO)
A Certified Organization (CO) is an organization that has been granted authority through an application and review process to administer the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to volunteers. It is very proud that our current GPTM committee (2019-20) is initiated the effort to grant our GPTM to be an Official “Certifying Organization” of US President’s Volunteer Service Award.
For the past few years, GPTM has been focused on becoming a central organization through multiple initiatives that integrate and enrich the experiences of our community members, especially our kids. Adopt-the-Road, Food Bank Drive, and Tree Planting are some of those initiatives. This new status not only gives a “formal structure” to our initiatives but also enables GPTM to provide a rewarding platform for our kids and adults in volunteering for the community.
